On update day you can expect a few hours of downtime. As always, matchmaking will be turned off in all League queues about three hours before the update. This means you’ll have to wait a bit before you can dive back into the game.
What’s in patch 14.16?
Senna’s Stats Mein Support Rework
Senna is now being pushed into the Enchanter Support build, which was previously lethality focused. Riot has identified that giving Senna a lethality build was a mistake, especially as his win rate has dropped to 48%. Riot’s goal is to bring Senna back into his role and create better synergy with ADCs. After this update, Senna will be able to play with a more supportive build, which will improve his teamfights and laning phase.
Backtrack of Riot on Sylas Nerfs
The recent nerfs on Sylas are now being rolled back. Its win rate has dropped significantly since patch 14.15, and is now at 48.51%, down from 50.87% in 14.14. Riot has realized they over-nerfed Sylas, so they are now rolling back some changes to bring Sylas back into balance. These rollback changes will slightly improve Sylas’ win rate and give players a fair experience.
Dying now comes with new death timer penalties
Killing on Summoner’s Rift will now be more punishable in the early stages. Death timers have been increased by 4 seconds from levels one to eight, and 2 seconds have been added at level nine. This is an attempt to make early lobby deaths more punishable. Killing in the early game will mean more disadvantage for your team, which will make early invades and ganks more risky.
T1’s 2023 World Championship Skins
After the 2023 League World Championship, T1’s Worlds skins are finally coming in League of Legends Patch 14.16. These include 5 T1 skins and 1 Prestige T1 skin, which celebrate Zeus’ Finals MVP performance. These skins are not only visually stunning, but are also a tribute to T1’s legendary performance.
