The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2025 (BGIS), the fourth edition of this prestigious tournament, is set to begin in a few weeks. This is an official open-to-all BGMI tournament where teams from across India will compete for a massive prize pool of ₹2 crore. Registration for this tournament started on January 3 and will remain open until January 20, 2025. So, if you haven’t registered yet, you still have time to secure your spot!
Like every year, The Grind, a qualifier round, will also be organized. In this stage, 64 directly invited pro teams will compete against each other. Based on their overall rankings, these teams will progress to the next stages of BGIS.
Krafton has officially announced the complete format and schedule for BGIS 2025. The tournament will use a 10-point scoring system, and the Grand Finals will be held offline in Kolkata, West Bengal.

BGIS 2025 Format and Dates
BGIS 2025 will be conducted in multiple stages. Let’s take a detailed look at each stage and its dates:
1. In-Game Qualifiers (January 25 – February 2)
All registered teams will play 15 matches, and their best 10 games will count toward the leaderboard.
The top 10-16 teams will qualify for Round 1 of BGIS 2025.
2. The Grind (February 5–23)
A total of 64 invited pro teams will participate, divided into four groups.
Each group will play 24 matches.
Group-wise breakdown:
- Week 1 (Group D): The top 8 teams will advance to Round 2, while the bottom 8 will play in Round 1.
- Week 2 (Group C): The top 8 teams will move to Round 3, and the remaining 8 will qualify for Round 2.
- Week 3 (Group B): The top 8 teams will head to Round 4, while the bottom 8 will go to Round 3.
- Week 4 (Group A): The top 8 teams will qualify for the quarterfinals, and the remaining teams will play in Round 4.
3. Round 1 (February 16 – 23)
A total of 1024 teams will participate, including 1016 from the in-game qualifiers and 8 from Group D of The Grind.
Teams will be divided into 64 groups, with each group playing 6 matches.
The top 7 teams from each group will qualify for Round 2. Additionally, 48 extra teams will be selected based on the overall standings.
4. Round 2 (February 16 – 23)
A total of 512 teams, divided into 32 groups, will compete in this round.
Each group will play 6 matches, and the top 7 teams will advance to the next stage.
16 additional teams will be selected based on the overall points table.
5. Round 3 (March 6–9)
This stage will feature 256 teams, including 240 from Round 2 and 8 each from The Grind’s Group B and C.
Teams will be divided into 16 groups. The top 6 teams from each group will move to Round 4, along with 16 teams from the overall leaderboard.
6. Round 4 (March 13 – 16)
A total of 128 teams, including 112 from Round 3 and 8 each from Groups A and B of The Grind, will participate.
Teams will compete in 8 groups, playing 6 matches each.
The top 7 teams from each group will qualify for the quarterfinals, while 16 teams from the overall points will proceed to the wildcard stage.
7. Quarterfinals (March 20 – 23)
A total of 64 teams, including the top 8 from Group A of The Grind, will compete in this stage.
The top 16 teams will qualify for Semifinals Week 1, while the 17th-64th ranked teams will move to the Wildcard Stage.
8. Wildcard (March 24 – 27)
This stage will feature 64 teams, including 48 from the Quarterfinals and 16 from Round 4.
The top 16 teams based on overall points will qualify for Semifinals Week 1.

9. Semifinals Week 1 (March 29 – April 1)
A total of 32 teams (16 from the quarterfinals and 16 from the wildcard) will be divided into 4 groups.
Each group will play 12 matches in a Round Robin format.
The top 8 teams will advance to the Grand Finals, while the remaining 24 teams will compete in Semifinals Week 2.
10. Semifinals Week 2 (April 3–6)
24 teams will be divided into 3 groups.
Over 4 days, they will compete for 8 spots in the Grand Finals.
11. Grand Finals (April 18 – 20)
The top 8 teams from both weeks of the semifinals will play in the grand finals.
This offline event will take place in Kolkata, featuring 18 matches over 3 days to crown the BGIS 2025 champion.
